Dental Implants in Perth
Missing a tooth, or living with a gap that’s starting to affect how you eat, speak or feel about your smile? Dental O So Gentle offers dental implants across our two Perth clinics in the Perth CBD on St Georges Terrace and in Beldon, in Perth’s northern suburbs providing a durable, natural-looking way to replace missing teeth. For many patients, implants offer a long-term option that restores both function and confidence, rather than a temporary fix. If you’ve been weighing up your choices for a while, understanding how implants compare with alternatives like dentures or bridges can make the decision feel more straightforward.
With more than 100 years of combined clinical experience across our team and a focus on gentle, patient-comfortable care, our aim is to make restoring your smile a smooth and reassuring experience from your first consultation.
What Are Dental Implants and How Do They Work?
Dental implants are a long-lasting, natural looking option for replacing missing teeth. The process involves placing a titanium post into the jawbone to act as a sturdy tooth root, followed by a custom-made crown that blends with your smile. Unlike dentures or bridges, implants help maintain jawbone strength, reduce shifting of neighbouring teeth, and restore chewing and speaking ability. Our goal is a stable, natural feeling result that functions much like your own teeth.
Because the implant integrates directly with the jawbone, it provides a level of stability that removable options can’t replicate, which is part of why many patients consider implants when they’re looking for a longer term response to tooth loss. Longevity and results vary from person to person, and your dentist will talk through what’s realistic for your situation.
Benefits of Dental Implants
- Natural look and feel — a custom-made crown blends with your smile and functions like a natural tooth.
- Jawbone preservation — unlike dentures or bridges, implants help maintain jawbone strength and reduce bone deterioration.
- Restored function — implants help restore chewing and speaking ability, so you can eat and talk more comfortably.
- Stability — the titanium post acts as a sturdy tooth root, helping keep teeth from shifting and supporting a stable bite.
Taken together, these are why implants are often considered among the more durable options for tooth replacement. Rather than simply filling a visible gap, implants are designed to support the surrounding structures of your mouth over the long term, which can make a meaningful difference to comfort and oral health years down the track.
Implant Care Across Our Two Perth Clinics
We combine modern techniques with a caring, patient-focused approach and personalised treatment planning, so restoring your smile feels manageable from the very first consultation. Implant treatment often spans several stages sometimes beginning with necessary extractions, then surgical placement, and finally the restoration.
Implant treatment is provided at our Perth CBD clinic, where implant placement and planning draw on the expertise of our Principal Dentist Dr Jeff Broude (Bachelor of Dental Science, 35+ years’ clinical experience), whose focus includes implant dentistry, together with Dr Rohan Jagota (Bachelor of Dental Science, University of Western Australia), who includes oral surgery and prosthodontics among his areas of practice. Consultations to discuss implants and your alternatives are available at both our Perth CBD and Beldon clinics, and our team at either location can help you plan the right next step. Because implant treatment involves multiple stages over time, we take care to explain what each stage involves before you begin.
Our Dental Implant Process
Step One
Consultation:
We begin with a comprehensive examination, including imaging such as X-rays, to assess your oral health and jawbone and develop a personalised treatment plan suited to your needs.
Step Two
Placement and Healing:
The titanium post is surgically placed into your jawbone under local anaesthesia, followed by a healing period during which the implant integrates and bonds with the bone. A temporary restoration may be provided during this time.
Step Three
Restoration:
Once healing is complete, a custom made crown, dental bridge or prosthesis is attached to complete your smile.
Throughout each stage, our team explains what to expect and answers your questions, so you feel informed from consultation through to the final restoration. Healing times vary from patient to patient, and your dentist will give you a clearer indication of your own timeline once your treatment plan is in place.
Is Dental Implant Treatment Right for You?

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the dental implant procedure painful?
The procedure is carried out under local anaesthesia, so you shouldn’t feel pain during placement itself. Some discomfort during healing is normal, like other dental procedures, and your dentist will talk you through what to expect and how to manage it.
Which clinic provides dental implants?
You can have an implant consultation at either our Perth CBD clinic on St Georges Terrace or our Beldon clinic on Eddystone Avenue. Implant placement and treatment are provided at our Perth CBD clinic, where Dr Jeff Broude (implant dentistry) and Dr Rohan Jagota (oral surgery and prosthodontics) are based. If you’re not sure where to start, either team can help.
How long does the whole process take?
Timeframes vary depending on individual healing and the specifics of your treatment plan. Your dentist will give you a clearer idea of your expected timeline once your consultation and initial assessment are complete.
Am I a suitable candidate for dental implants?
Suitability depends on factors such as jawbone health and overall oral health, which is why the process begins with a thorough consultation and imaging. This allows your dentist to confirm whether implants are the right option for you, and to discuss alternatives such as bridges or dentures if implants aren’t suitable in your case.
Will my private health extras cover the cost?
Many patients use private health extras cover towards implant treatment, though the amount depends on your level of cover and the stages involved. We’re happy to help you understand what your fund may cover and provide an estimate before treatment begins, and HICAPS is available for on-the-spot claiming where a treatment is eligible.
